Stand for America, Stand With Bush!

NewsMax has been reporting on

How dare Tom Brokaw suggest that President Bush might have been "negligent” for not having been more involved in the Mideast peace crisis, as he did while interviewing Gen. Schwarzkopf today.

A NewsMax reader said Brokaw’s comments were very similar to ones made earlier in the day by NBC "foreign policy expert” Katie Couric, also complaining about Bush administration’s handling of the peace process.

Another reader was similarly shocked watching NBC yesterday when correspondent Andrea Mitchell, the wife of Alan Greenspan, was on making "the snide comment that a president must not only be the ’Commander-in-Chief,’ but also a ‘Comforter-in-Chief.’”

Apparently Mitchell then went on to say that she "questioned whether an inarticulate president" could accomplish this.

Mitchell "then praised Clinton for his comforting presence during the Oklahoma City bombing.”

The reader expressed my sentiment: "That lady Mitchell is a disgrace.”

And so are the other damn elitists running these big networks.

And let’s remember that the big media – already making overt complaints that Bush didn’t land Air Force One back in Washington immediately — can’t let one complaint about Bill Clinton’s culpability in this affair on the air.

Americans are not stupid. We know it was Clinton who left America weak and vulnerable to this attack – and perhaps worse.

Today, the NPR crowd has led an orchestrated e-mail campaign against NewsMax, furious with my

These phonies are feigning "shock” I would criticize the man they supported as he worked to bring down America.

Reminding me that patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel, these complainers have claimed that I am un-American revealing Clinton’s responsibility. Instead they say we should "unite” the country and not "point fingers.”

But let’s take a step back and recall how Clinton and the media handled themselves in the immediate aftermath of the Oklahoma City bombing in 1994.

Rather than "comfort” the nation, I recollect how Clinton went on national TV, wagging his finger and lashing out at his political opponents for having caused this terrible bombing.

All the networks joined Clinton, along with the major papers — right in the middle of that terrible tragedy — blaming conservative Republicans, "Clinton-haters,” talk radio, Rush Limbaugh, Jerry Falwell, the Internet — and any one else who ever made a legitimate criticism of Bill Clinton.

Now when we have a real enemy, not just some nutcase, drug-using bomber such as McVeigh, the media don’t want us to ask who led us to this situation.

They won’t air any criticism of Bill Clinton, clearly responsible for the state of America’s military and national security apparatus - we can’t say a word.

It’s clear the media are anxious to undermine Bush, to blame Bush, to hurt Bush.

They don’t want Americans to recognize Clinton’s role and the media’s own complicity in giving him a free ride as he undermined America’s national security.

We know better. That’s why we will stand firmly with President Bush and for our country.
