Media Analyst Likens Network Execs to Dirty-Minded Kids

Lichter, co-author of such book-length critiques as "The Media Elite" and "Good Intentions Make Bad News: Why Americans Hate Campaign Journalism," has taken the media to task over the years for various reasons. A research professor in political science at George Washington University, he has conducted news and entertainment studies through such think tanks as the Center for Media and Public Affairs.

His comments on the networks were included in a story on "The Fox Report with Shepherd Smith."

Rick Levanthal, the newsman who voiced the report, ended his narration by noting that advertisers and viewers would be left to decide whether to avoid the new lowering of standards on primetime TV.
