Kerry Not Fooling Anyone ... Or Is He?

Friday, 22 October 2004 12:00 AM

There he was in full hunting "drag," the liberal elitist wind surfer from Massachusetts acting like one of the guys.

Senator Kerry decided to wake up early in the morning and head out with his 12-gauge shotgun to bag a goose. Nothing like the sunrise in the morning stated the Senator, getting real with the guys and looking for a goose. What a quack.

For a moment, I wondered what the Boston liberal’s core supporters would think about him going out and shooting a goose in order to convince the voters in Ohio that he really is not a Massachusetts lefty who only a few years ago told CNN that we needed to not only tax ammunition, but tax guns as well.

He has a poor record on second amendment rights in his last 20 years in the Senate.

Then I answered my own question. They don’t care. They don’t care because they don’t believe him.

Kerry’s core supporters are telling themselves that he really doesn’t believe in going out with what they would call “hicks in rural America” to shoot a poor goose. He has to do that to get elected.

Kerry even managed to flip-flop on the hunting trip. He shot the goose, but then refused to carry it for the cameras. This was to get the men’s vote by shooting, but the women’s vote by not being seen carrying the carcass. His explanation to the press was “I’m too lazy to carry it.” Right.

Kerry supporters in fact do not believe anything he says during the campaign.

I asked a gay friend who supports gay marriage how he can support Kerry and attack President Bush when they have the same position that marriage should be between a man and a woman. His answer was illuminating. “Kerry is only saying that because he has to say it to run for president.” Doesn’t that say it all?

To the left, Kerry is against the war, to other mainstream voters, he is the tough war hero. He likes guns, but hates them and wants to tax them, he likes hunting but won’t carry the dead animal, he supports gay rights but tells the voters in Missouri he would have voted for their state constitutional amendment banning it. That state amendment has the same wording as the one Bush proposed for the U.S. Constitution.

To put it plainly, John Kerry is a fake, a phony and a fraud.

The fact that almost half the American people appear ready to make him president only proves that what Abe Lincoln said is indeed still as true as ever.

You can fool some of the people some of the time. He doesn’t fool me for a minute or millions of other voters who see right through him and his elitist wife who thinks teachers and librarians do not have “real jobs”.

The question is, does he fool you?

The Bible says a fool and his money are soon parted. How true. However there is much more than money at stake in this election. Regardless of how you feel about all of the decisions made by President Bush over the last four years, can you really elect a man at this time in our history when you don’t know who he really is? Exactly.
