A survey of senior Internet and e-commerce wheelers and dealers showed that despite the fact that most corporate executives tend to be Republicans, fully 53 percent favored Gore over George W. Bush, according to Fortune magazine.
"In 13 years of surveying executives for Fortune," said George Martire of Clark, Martire and Bartolomeo, "this is the first time that the Republican candidate hasn’t been preferred."
The magazne speculated that the executives are not typical of most corporate executives, "being younger, less entrenched in business and more willing to take risks."
