How Telemarketing Thieves Steal Your Money!

Have you ever received a postcard or letter in the mail describing an extraordinary offer? Perhaps it was a lavish seven-day cruise for only $99, or maybe a brand new car for just $1,000. Better yet, all you had to do to take advantage of this engaging proposition was to call either a 900 or 800 number and hear a glib sales pitch.

How can you differentiate between legitimate direct marketing solicitations and telemarketing fraud? The United States Postal Inspection Service reveals these important tip-offs to help protect you from being a telemarketing scam victim.

Also, this payment may be described to you as a requirement to purchase a minimum order of cleaning supplies or vitamins, or it can be a shipping/handling charge or a processing fee. Do not deal with a promoter who uses these tactics.

Although most telemarketing businesses are legitimate, those few that are lawbreakers are masters in painting beautiful pictures of no or low-cost luxury vacations, oceanfront resorts, big money, expensive prizes and other wonderful dreams.

All these crooks want to do, sadly, is rip off your hard-earned money and leave you with a nasty nightmare instead of the promised dazzling dream.
