Chandra Levy's Remains Found

Wednesday, 22 May 2002 12:00 AM

Police Chief Charles Ramsey said the case has been classified now as a "death investigation." The identification was made through dental records, he said.

The Levy family found out about the positive identification of the remains on the news, according to their attorney, George Arata.

Reports said a human skull was found about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday by a pedestrian. Other human bones were later found.

The remains were found in more than one location on a steep incline in thick woods about a mile north of Klingle Mansion and Levy's apartment. Police last year found that Levy searched a Web site for the mansion on her computer the day she disappeared.
