Bush Campaign Vows to Fight Florida Court's Ruling

Baker said the court "rewrote the legislature's statutory system, assumed the responsibilities of the executive branch, and sidestepped the opinion of the trial court as the finder of fact," CNN reported.

He denounced the counting of dimpled chads, where a voter has indented but not perforated a ballot. That improper inclusion is intended "to overcome Gov. Bush's continuing lead after all the counts and recounts," Baker said.
