TF1, France's leading private news channel, and France 2 and France 3, France's two government television newtorks, have tapped Al Gore as the winner of the presidential race.

All networks are reporting the race as "tight"; however, they are giving Al Gore as the winner of the Florida race. The French agencies are also saying that Al Gore – based on exit polls – is winning among independent voters.
