Allegations of Union Pressuring Voters in Boston

Tuesday, 05 November 2002 12:00 AM

"We've got union officials going into the booth with people and telling them how to vote," said Romney campaign adviser Rob Gray.

He said officials with the Service Employees International Union were seen entering booths with some voters in Ward 11, the Jamaica Plain section.

A spokeswoman for SEIU said the union was not aware of any wrongdoing and has not received any complaints.

Democratic candidate for governor Shannon O'Brien's campaign denied there was any "illegal or untoward activity."

Secretary of State William Galvin is reportedly looking into the complaint.
