The company, via its latest e-mails to frequent fliers, is announcing a special promotion that offers a fare of one buck for the next four Tuesdays.

The rules are simple: Pay $1 to fly outbound as part of a roundtrip promotion. All outbound flights must originate on either Tuesday, Sept. 25, or on Oct. 2, 9 or 16. Travelers must stay over at least one night in their arrival city before returning.

Flights to and from Las Vegas and San Francisco and Los Angeles are priced at $25 for a roundtrip -- $1 for the outbound, $24 for the return. Airport-imposed fees are additional. Travel must be completed by the Nov. 8, and a two-day advance reservation is required.

Flights in National's "Get America Flying" promotion between Las Vegas and either Chicago Midway or Dallas-Ft. Worth International are only $50, roundtrip.

Travel between Las Vegas and National's East Coast cities -- New York JFK, Newark, Philadelphia, and Miami are priced at $75, roundtrip.

By the way, the $1 outbound fee is going to a fund set up by the airline's employees for the Sept. 11 disaster relief.

Tickets are available through normal travel agent channels, by calling National (800-757-JETS) or on the company's Web site, nationalairlines.com on the Internet.

National management included a note of thanks on its Web site for the employees of all domestic airlines and the people who re-took to the skies for helping rebuild the country's air travel system. Special notes of condolence were included for United and American Airlines.
