White House chief of staff John Kelly revoked Andrew Giuliani's access to the West Wing, meaning the son of Rudy Giuliani now requires an escort, Axios is reporting.

President Donald Trump a few months ago ordered that Andrew Giuliani, a junior White House staffer, get promoted, but Kelly didn't and instead stripped him of his blue pass two weeks ago, Axios reports.

The reasons: Workplace issues and Giuliani's penchant for subverting the chain of command, Axios reports.

So instead of a promotion to special assistant to the president, Andrew Giuliani is now stuck with a green pass, Axios reports. No West Wing access.

It's not clear if the president, who is "genuinely fond" of Andrew, knows that his order was not followed, Axios reports.

A scratch golfer, Andrew Giuliani volunteered on Trump's presidential campaign and has played many rounds of golf with the president over the years, Axios reports.
