The Wall Street Journal is standing by its story after President Donald Trump claimed the newspaper misquoted him during an interview last week.
The Journal spoke with Trump at the White House, and during the session it quoted him as saying, "I probably have a very good relationship with Kim Jong Un of North Korea."
The White House pushed back Saturday night, with press secretary Sarah Sanders claiming on Twitter that Trump said "I'd probably have," which changes the meaning of the sentence. She even released audio taken by the White House, although it's not entirely clear if Trump said "I" or "I'd."
The Journal weighed in by releasing its own audio file of that portion of the interview, which sounded clearer:
Trump joined the fray Sunday morning by calling the report "fake news."
The Journal said Sunday it "stands by what it reported."
