Scott Walker: I Want to Cut Taxes Every Year

By    |   Wednesday, 03 July 2013 02:49 PM EDT

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker — who just signed a two-year state budget with $651 million in tax cuts — says he wants to reduce taxes ever year he is in office.

"I'd like to continue to do it for people across the board," Walker, a Republican, said during a meeting with reporters and editors from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

"I think this is a great budget for the hardworking taxpayers across the state. I want to continue taking that path."

Walker also hinted that he very definitely will be running for another term in 2014, although any formal announcement won't be made until next year.

"I don't think anyone would be shocked with my announcement," he told the newspaper.
