Voters have few kind words for President Donald Trump, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll.

Quinnipiac, in an open-ended question, asked voters for the first word that comes to mind when they think of the president. Here are their top answers:

  • 53 voters called him an "idiot"
  • 44 voters used the word "liar"
  • 36 voters described him as "incompetent"
  • 35 voters called him a "leader"
  • 35 voters described him as "strong"

"Of the 48 words used by five or more voters, 30 words are negative," pollsters said in their report.

Here is how the remainder of the poll broke down:

  • 57 percent of voters disapprove of the job Trump is doing, while 37 percent approve of it
  • 73 percent believe the Russian government tried to influence the presidential election, compared to 22 percent who disagree
  • 41 percent say the interference changed the outcome of the election, while 28 percent disagree
  • 57 percent say Trump has attempted to "derail or obstruct the investigation into the Russian interference in the 2016 election," compared to 38 percent who disagree
  • 48 percent say Trump did not collude with the Russian government on the election, while 44 percent disagree
  • 52 percent say the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians, while 40 percent disagree
  • 47 percent say Trump should be impeached if he fires special counsel Robert Mueller, compared to 47 who disagree.
