A national organization that opposes abortion says it will spend about $215,000 in the final days of the California Republican Senate primary to promote candidate Carly Fiorina.
The Susan B. Anthony List supports female political candidates who oppose abortion.
The organization said Wednesday the money would pay for Internet ads, calls and e-mails, allowing it to contact some 600,000 voters leading up to the state's June 8 primary.
Fiorina, the former CEO of Hewlett Packard, and state Assemblyman Chuck DeVore oppose abortion. The other Republican candidate seeking the GOP nomination, former congressman Tom Campbell, supports a woman's right to choose.
