Bombarded with bad news related to lawsuits targeting his eponymous real estate seminar operation, Donald Trump on Thursday vowed to resurrect the defunct Trump University —and to be its president.
In a tweet bragging about the interest in "Trump U," the GOP presumptive nominee unveiled his plan to open the controversial operation once the the legal case "is disposed of" and "won."
Trump's been hit hard by critics — including Hillary Clinton
— in the wake of newly released documents in a California lawsuit against the operation. And New York's attorney general, who has a similar lawsuit against Trump University, also has lashed out
at the real estate mogul.
Trump previously blasted the judge
who ordered the documents released, but his Twitter pledge Thursday cemented his defiance about the operation, and his oft-stated prediction he'd win the legal case
