Trump Hits Mexico, Weak Border Laws: US 'Is Being Stolen'

President Donald Trump took aim at a slew of border issues Monday on Twitter, slamming  Mexico, the Democrats, and weak border laws.

The upshot: "Our country is being stolen" unless Congress implements the nuclear option to pass border laws.

Trump's tweets came 24 hours after similar posts taking aim at Mexico and lax border security.

All of the tweets appear to be sparked by Sunday's Fox News report and analysis about a "caravan of immigrants" heading to the U.S. border seeking asylum.

The plight of the 1,200 central American immigrants — mostly Honduran — is being documented in real time by Buzzfeed News, which has a reporter embedded with the group as it makes it way to the border.

A Border Patrol union leader told Fox News that the immigrants are being aided by Mexico and other entities in their march to the U.S. border, adding that they should be prosecuted for helping.

"All they have to do is cross one foot into the border and we have to take them into custody. If they ask for asylum or say, 'I fear to go back to my country,' then we have to process them under 'credible fear,' which allows them to be released into our country," Brandon Judd told Fox News.
