Polish President Andrzej Duda on Thursday denied reports that his wife snubbed a handshake from U.S. President Donald Trump, calling it "fake news."

Duda said both he and his wife, Agata Kornhauser-Duda, shook hands with the president and first lady Melania Trump.

Kornhauser-Duda shook hands with President Trump, then reached her hand to greet Melania, but the president reached to shake her hand again, and she passed him by to shake Melania's hand.

However, the Polish first lady saw what happened and shook Trump's hand again.

Video from the event that did not show Trump eventually shaking hands with Kornhauser-Duda was reported by a number of journalists and went viral, according to The Hill.
