Donald Trump Jr. Saturday chastised CNN's Manu Raju through Twitter and said he's not holding his breath for an apology over an erroneous story he and CNN's Jeremy Herb published about him on Friday.

“I won’t hold my breath for an apology, or for you to call out your puppet masters on the left that fed you BS knowing you would gleefully run with it without ever checking the other side,” the president's oldest son said on Twitter.  "Apparently it was just too good a scoop for you to actually do your job. You got played."

The tweet was made in response to one Raju posted after CNN issued a correction to its "exclusive" report that WikiLeaks had offered him a private link and decryption details for documents. CNN reported that the documents, obtained from the Democratic National Committee and former Secretary of State Colin Powell had been offered on Sept. 4, before they became publicly available.

The Washington Post quickly debunked CNN's report, however, reviewing a copy of the email sent to Trump Jr. and determining it had actually been sent on Sept. 14, one day after WikiLeaks had made the documents public.

Raju, CNN's senior congressional correspondent, tweeted the network's correction, which did not contain an apology for the error. Further, CNN said Raju and Herb will not face disciplinary actions, and they had met the company's editorial standards with their scoop.

Trump Jr. tweeted several more times about the report,  accusing the network's "Democratic sources" of having all the information they needed and asking if anyone believes they "were not deliberately trying to hide facts that would turn a non-story into their exact BS narrative? No one is that naive!!! I’m sure they wouldn’t lie to cover their prominent source."

He also responded to a question posted by former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer, after he asked if CNN will review other stories they've done based on information from the sources involved in the WikiLeaks report,  saying "they wont."

President Donald Trump also slammed CNN for the report, including at a rally in Pensacola, Florida, saying that CNN "should have been apologizing for the last two years."

He also tweeted Saturday about the likelihood that CNN will fire the two reporters and in another message said the network should change its slogan to "the least trusted name in news."
