President Donald Trump again lashed out at former FBI Director James Comey and former Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, calling them both “bad” guys.
“Andy McCabe is a bad guy and Comey is a bad guy,” Trump said in an interview on television's "Fox & Friends."
Trump claimed “this country got very lucky” when he fired Comey.
“He was a horrible guy and he lied and leaked," the president said. "He lied before Congress. But he was leaking all over the place. McCabe…very bad. But he worked for Comey.”
Asked about speculation he had been prepared to fire Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, Trump said the two remain on good terms.
“Well, I actually get along well with Rod,” he said of the man who oversees special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation.
Trump quickly added: “We have a witch-hunt going on which is disgraceful.”
