President Donald Trump was unmoved Wednesday by indications he’s got the political strength — and GOP control — to mount a presidential campaign in 2024.

In a tweet, Trump brushed aside the idea another run is even necessary, writing, “But 2020 is a long way from over!”

Trump’s legal team has mounted challenges in several states and on Tuesday asserted three states are set to hold public hearings to assure voters that all legal votes have been counted and “illegal votes have not been counted.”

Newsmax has not called the election.

Though Trump has refused to concede while his legal challenges continue, a recent poll  illustrated just how strong his support is for a 2024 presidential bid.

According to the Morning Consult/Politico survey, Trump tops an early, hypothetical list of 14 potential candidates, and 68% of Republican voters said they consider Trump to be the most in touch with the party's rank and file members — with 71% of Republican voters saying Trump is effective and committed to the country's best interests,.
