Donald Trump's doctor says he isn't worried about the health of the president-elect — who at 70 will become the oldest person to move into the Oval Office.
In an interview with STAT News, Dr. Harold Bornstein says he has not spoken with Trump since the election and never realized he was going to become the oldest man elected president.
"It never occurred to me that he was the oldest president, not for a second," Bornstein told STAT.
He said that "there's nothing to share" on a regular basis about a president's health.
"Ronald Reagan had pre-senile dementia. I mean, seriously, did they share that one with you, or did Nancy just cover it up?
"If something happens to him, then it happens to him," Bornstein said. "It's like all the rest of us, no? That's why we have a vice president and a speaker of the House and a whole line of people. They can just keep dying."
Bornstein said he is uncertain whether he'll be asked to treat Trump once he takes office, according to STAT
Back in August, Bornstein said Trump was great health, according to NBC News.
"If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency," Bornstein wrote in a letter.
Asked how he could justify that assessment, Bornstein said, "I like that sentence to be quite honest with you and all the rest of them are either sick or dead."
