Although presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump vowed to announce the exact amount of money raised for military veterans on Memorial Day, the real estate mogul, according to
The Hill, is delaying his announcement until the day dedicated to honor those fallen is over.
While Donald Trump claims he raised about $6 million for veterans when he skipped a Fox News debate in January, the real estate mogul has been widely scrutinized and hounded by reporters for more specifics.
"We just raised almost $6 million for the vets because I didn't do a television show," Trump said Sunday during the Rolling Thunder motorcycle rally in Washington, D.C.,
CNN reported.
"All of the groups that have gotten the money will be announced Tuesday," Trump added.
According to various news reports, it is unclear as to how much money was raised, how much came from his own bank accounts and which veterans' groups he donated the money to.
According to The Hill, it is reported that Trump donated $1 million of his own money. The billionaire developer is expected to set the record straight on Tuesday.
