President Donald Trump urged supporters in an email on Friday to sign up for a contest where the winner gets to have dinner with him later this month, the Washington Examiner reports.
"I have to tell you. There is a very important dinner I am hosting on June 28. I want YOU there. I want to meet you," Trump wrote. "Do not worry about a thing. We will fly you to DC, we will take a picture together, and you will stay at a beautiful hotel. BIG LEAGUE."
The only thing the president was asking in return was for contestants to contribute to the Republican National Committee (RNC), sponsor of the contest, for his re-election campaign.
"I ask just one thing — Contribute to be automatically entered to win. This dinner is only for my very best BIG LEAGUE supporters. The deadline to enter is so close. Go now. Contribute in the next 2 hours," Trump wrote.
Cutoff to enter the contest, valued at $3,000, is June 25.
