President Donald Trump's visit to CIA headquarters Saturday was "uncomfortable," CBS News reported Monday.

Trump was reportedly met with cheers, and chief of staff Reince Priebus said the president's visit was a "love fest," but CBS reported that Trump "made relations with the intelligence community worse."

Trump gave comments in front of the agency's wall of fallen heroes, supporting the CIA and blaming the "dishonest media" for twisting his position on the intelligence agency and community.

"There is nobody that feels stronger about the intelligence community and the CIA than Donald Trump," Trump told the audience of 400. "They sort of made it sound like I had a feud with intelligence community."

However, his remarks — mostly about himself — earned a strong rebuke from former CIA Director John Brennan, who said Trump "should be ashamed of himself."

And former CIA Director Michael Hayden was mystified.

"I was heartened that the president gave a speech at CIA," Hayden said. "It would have been even better if more of it had been about the CIA."
