President Donald Trump on Thursday blasted CNN and NBC during a joint press conference with Polish President Andrzej Duda.
"They [CNN] has been fake news for a long time. They have been covering me in a very dishonest way," Trump said, the Washington Examiner reports.
"What we want to see in the United States is honest, beautiful, free — but honest — fair press . . . We don't want fake news. And by the way, not everybody is fake news. But we don't want fake news. Bad thing," Trump added.
"NBC is equally as bad, despite the fact that I made them a fortune with "The Apprentice," but they forgot that," Trump said, referring to the reality show he formerly hosted on the network.
"I think what CNN did was unfortunate for them, as you know now, they have some pretty serious problems," the president said, apparently referring to CNN's controversy over the creator of a video Trump retweeted that contained an edited version of a fight scene he participated in at a WrestleMania event, with the CNN logo superimposed over the head of his opponent.
Also during the news conference, Trump said CNN took the video "too seriously."
