Poll: Trump Trails Biden By 10 Points In Hypothetical Match

President Donald Trump trails Democratic front-runner Joe Biden by 10 points among registered voters in a hypothetical 2020 match-up, according to a Washington Post/ABC News poll released Sunday.

According to the survey, Biden has 53% support compared with Trump’s 43%, and leads Trump by 7 points among independents and 28 points among moderates.

In other findings:

  • Trump is behind Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., by 2 points, 48% to 46%, and Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., by 1 point, 49% to 48%.
  •  Trump is tied with Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., at 48% each, and with South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg at 47% each.

Trump, however, leads a generic “Democratic candidate who you regard as a socialist” by 6 points, 49% to 43%.

The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.

In a Real Clear Politics averaging of polling, Biden leads the Democratic field of presidential candidates by 10.8%.
