Trey Gowdy Endorses Marco Rubio

Rep. Trey Gowdy will campaign in Iowa for two days next week with Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio, the Florida senator's team said Saturday.

"Marco is a rock-solid conservative and a strong leader we can trust," said the South Carolina chairman of the special House committee investigating the 2012 Benghazi attacks. "I look forward to campaigning in Iowa with him, and introducing my good friend to voters across the state."

Rubio, the first-term Florida senator, will tour the Hawkeye State for three days, starting on Monday. Gowdy will campaign during the last two days, participating in town-hall meetings and other forums.
