Tony Fratto, the one-time deputy press secretary for President George W. Bush, said the future of the Republican Party is at risk if GOP candidate Roy Moore is elected to the Senate from Alabama.

Fratto's comments came in a Wednesday morning tweet:

Moore has been the target of accusations from women who claim he had improper relationships with them when they were in their teens years ago. He has denied all the allegations, The Hill reported.

Moore is running against Democrat Doug Jones in the Dec. 12 election in Alabama.

The Hill noted President Donald Trump had said Tuesday: "We don't need a liberal person in there, a Democrat."
