Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez could be the next attorney general if Democratic nominee Joe Biden wins the presidency.

According to Politico, people close to Perez are pushing for him to get the position.

"He's in the mix," said Oscar Ramirez, a Democratic lobbyist who is connected with stakeholders in the Latino community.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is also reportedly in contention for attorney general while Sen. Elizabeth Warren is being considered for Treasury secretary.

Cuomo has dismissed the rumors but people close to Warren have told Politico the senator will throw her hat into the ring for a role in the administration should Biden win the election.

“She wants it,” an anonymous source close to Warren said.

Biden himself has advocated for Pete Buttigieg to have a place in the administration if he wins the presidency.

"I did speak to Pete Buttigieg a couple of days ago to encourage him to stay engaged because he has enormous talent, and I indicated to him that if I became the nominee, I’d come and ask him to be part of an administration,” Biden said back in March.
