GOP presidential contender Ted Cruz says he won't get down and dirty with House Speaker John Boehner after he called the Texas senator a "jackass"
— declaring voters aren't "remotely interested" in politicians "bickering like schoolyard children."
Boehner's glib diss came at a Colorado fundraiser over the summer, where one observer told the Daily Caller "I about fell on the floor."

But in an interview on Hugh Hewitt's radio show Monday night, Cruz said there'd be no reciprocal verbal bomb or "ad hominem attacks" like the Ohio lawmaker's "profanity-laden assault."
"There's far too much of that," Cruz said. "My approach … is I don't reciprocate… I'm not going to respond in kind. I think the American people are not remotely interested in a bunch of politicians in Washington bickering like schoolyard children… [W]hat they are looking for… are real solutions."
