Cross one of the 31 swing district House Democrats off the list of potentially breaking party ranks on passing the articles of impeachment of President Donald Trump.

Rep. Susie Lee, D-Nev., has declared Friday she will vote to send the president to a Senate trial.

"After weighing all of the facts, I will be voting in support of impeachment of the president," she wrote in a statement. "The facts are clear: the president abused the power of his office and blatantly obstructed Congress."

Just two House Democrats voted against proceeding to the House impeachment inquiry, but Lee was not one of them. Still, she called this a "grave decision" that required "thorough and solemn deliberation."

The House's two articles of impeachment passed on a party-line vote in the House Judiciary Committee on Friday are the general abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

The full House vote will come by the middle of next week, with Democrats needing 216 votes to pass. There are 197 Republicans, 233 Democrats, 1 independent, and four vacant seats in the House, meaning more than 17 Democrats would have to defect and the 31 Democrats who won in districts held by Trump in 2016 are those most vulnerable.

"This is a solemn decision," Lee's statement concluded. "I end with this: democracies live and die by the integrity of our elections. We have lived in relative peace on our soil for over two centuries in the strongest democracy on earth. It is my constitutional duty to ensure that it remains that way."

Coincidentally, Lee had attended the White House Congressional Ball on Thursday night, according to Axios, but the bipartisan effort did not affect her vote.
