Sen. Lindsey Graham, who blasted Democrats during Thursday's Senate Judiciary Committee hearing for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, the woman accusing him of sexual assault, said Friday he didn't know what he was going to do before his comments, but that he was "pissed" at the proceedings.
"I know her letter was given to three groups of people and the person who leaked it to the press intended for this to happen," Graham told Fox News' "Fox and Friends" about a letter Ford had mailed to Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., detailing her allegations but asking that her name not be revealed.
The person who leaked the letter, he added, did it "on purpose" to destroy Kavanaugh, and they did not "give a damn about Dr. Ford."
Meanwhile, Kavanaugh denied the allegations in every detail, said Graham, and he thinks there are too many questions left unasked.
"We still don't know the date, the location," said Graham. "It is not he said, she said, it is she said, they said." He added that he is "100 percent" sure Kavanaugh did not assault Ford.
Graham said he wants his fellow Republicans to know that if they vote against Kavanaugh, they are setting up "the destruction of all future nominees."
"You're denying a good man, highly qualified who led an incredible life, the chance to serve the country in the position he is qualified for, legitimizing the politics of destruction," said Graham. "You are missing a lot if you don't see this as a political hit job."
