Super Pac Hits Trump for Ties in China, Shirts in Bangladesh

Our Principles PAC, a super PAC opposing Donald Trump's candidacy, is running a 30-second ad in Ohio slamming him for making his signature line of clothing overseas while complaining at rallies that nothing is made in America anymore.

"Remember we used to have 'Made in the USA,' right? When was the last time you've seen it?" Trump says in a clip that opens the ad.

That is then juxtaposed to a clip of Trump appearing on "Late Night with David Letterman" where the host held Trump's ties and shirts and asked where they were made.

When Trump says he doesn't know, Letterman asks his staff, who can be heard saying China for the ties and Bangladesh for the shirts.

"Good. We employ people in Bangladesh," Trump replies.

The ad quotes a Yahoo! News story that a large number of Trump's branded products are made in Asia or South America.

"A lot of locals have been looking for work for them to hire here. Then he's been outsourcing a lot of jobs," a man tells a CNN interviewer as the ad ends.

The ad is airing in Ohio, which votes Tuesday. Trump is running neck-and-neck https://www.newsmax.com/Headline/kasich-tied-trump-ohio/2016/03/13/id/718858/ there with Ohio Gov. John Kasich. Trump on the "Face the Nation" http://www.cbsnews.com/face-the-nation/ Sunday morning blamed Kasich for losing jobs in his home state.

"He's done a terrible job in Ohio, Trump said. "He's losing his businesses. Real estate taxes have gone through the roof."
