Sen. John McCain said Tuesday that he has not seen the Senate version of the legislation to repeal and replace Obamacare, but "I'm sure the Russians" have.

"No, nor have I met any American that has," the Arizona Republican told Bloomberg News. "I'm sure the Russians have been able to hack in and gotten most of it."

McCain's allusion to the various Moscow investigations engulfing the Trump administration reflected the frustration among many Republicans Tuesday that the Senate working group has presented no information or draft of a healthcare bill.

"I haven't seen it yet, either," Utah Sen. Mike Lee, who is supposed to be a part of the 13-member group, told Bloomberg.

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul said that the legislation should be debated "in the open."

"It might be time to get the copier out," Paul said. "We still haven't seen the bill."

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky said Tuesday that he hoped to present a discussion draft of the healthcare bill Thursday.

Senators could vote on their version of the healthcare plan next week before their summer recess begins.

The House passed its version of the bill, the American Health Care Act, last month after pulling it twice from a floor vote in April amid strong opposition by the conservative Freedom Caucus.

McConnell also slammed Democrats who attacked the GOP working group for its secrecy, noting that "they've made it clear earlier they were not interested in participating in this.

"They have no interest in it whatsoever," he told reporters at the Capitol.

McConnell said that Democrats were not invited into the Republican Conference to work on the bill but that "they made it clear they're not interested in helping.

"They are not interested in what we are trying to achieve. At all.

"I do find it particularly laughable the complaints about process."
