Sean Hannity wants President Barack Obama to leave the country for good following the completion of the 2016 presidential election. And the Fox News host on Tuesday said he would foot the bill for a one-way flight for Obama and his family to either Canada or Kenya.
"I have an offer for the president. I will charter a plane for you and your family," Hannity said on his daily radio show, "The Sean Hannity Show," Politico reports. "I will charter it to the country of your choice. You want to go to Canada? I'll pay for you to go to Canada. You want to go to Kenya? I'll pay for you to go to Kenya. Jakarta, where you went to school back in the day, you can go back there."
Hannity's offer to get Obama to Kenya was in reference to rumors that Obama was born outside of the United States, which surfaced while he was running for president in 2008. Obama's father, Barack Hussein Obama Sr., was born in Kenya in the village of Nyan'goma Kogelo but President Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1961. His mother was a U.S. citizen, making him eligible to serve as president.
Hannity has long claimed that Obama was born outside the U.S.
The comments "come a day after White House press secretary Josh Earnest dodged the question of whether Obama would consider moving out of the country should Trump become president," writes Cristiano Lima of Politico.
