MSNBC co-host Joe Scarborough said Saturday that he was "very skeptical" about President Donald Trump's allegations that former President Barack Obama wire-tapped his telephones at Trump Tower during the campaign — and challenged him to "prove it."

The "Morning Joe" co-host called on the president on Twitter:

In an early morning Twitter rant, Trump accused Obama of tapping his phone in an investigation of his campaign's dealings with Russia.

The tweets come after news reports this week that Attorney General Jeff Sessions met twice with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak twice last year as an Alabama senator.

On Thursday, Sessions recused himself of any possible investigation of the campaign's involvement with Russia.
