Former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders launched a website on Monday amid speculation that she is considering becoming a candidate for governor of Arkansas, The Hill reported.

Sanders signed on as a Fox News contributor last week, and it is not unusual for television personalities to create personal websites to market themselves. However, she has reportedly started giving more consideration to a potential run for public office after she left the White House in June. The next election for Arkansas governor is in 2022.

Her new website includes praise from President Donald Trump, who described her as "irreplaceable," a "warrior," and a "very special person with extraordinary talents, who has done an incredible job."

Trump has also encouraged her to run for governor of Arkansas.

Current Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, a Republican, is serving a second term and won't be able to seek reelection in 2022 due to term limits, according to The Hill.

Trump won the state by 27 points in 2016, so a candidate connected to the president would most likely have an advantage in the election.

If she decides to enter the race, Sanders would do so with additional name recognition and deep political connections because her father Mike Huckabee was the state's governor from 1996-2007.

By creating a personal website like the one she unveiled, Sanders has also created the potential to begin building email lists that could be used if she does become a candidate to solicit donations and rally support.
