Americans will be "begging" for President Donald Trump to win a second term in office as he continues to find success, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Tuesday.

Sanders sat down with talk radio host Hugh Hewitt and was asked if there has been any discussion about the Republican National Convention returning to Cleveland ahead of the 2020 presidential election.

"I don't know if that's even being talked about, yet, but I have a lot of confidence that that shouldn't be an issue for the president to be re-nominated," Sanders said. "He's had an incredibly successful first nine months in office, and I think the next three and a half, or two and a half, three years are going to be equally as successful, including getting tax reform done, which is going to be a big deal, and make a really big impact on most Americans, and they're going to be begging for four more years of President Trump."

Sanders added that she enjoyed the Cleveland convention in the summer of 2016, but that she is open to having the multi-day event in another location the next time.

"I'll leave that up to the RNC and their team to determine the best party city for us to do a victory lap," she said.

Sanders then talked about how she calls on reporters to ask questions during the daily press briefings that occur in the White House.

"There's a massive air conditioner that's directly over the podium. And when it turns on, you can't hear," said Sanders, who also had high praise for Newsmax's John Gizzi.

"So I can always hear John Gizzi, whether he's even in the room or you know, no matter where he is, you can hear him. So I have no trouble hearing him from the back. And so I try to make my way on the sides, the front, the back of the room, and not get stuck into one area in calling on folks. And so he's always a good go-to."
