Sen. Marco Rubio shelled out $94,100 on campaign consultants last month, another sure sign that he will run for the Republican nomination for president in 2016.
The spending went through Rubio’s Reclaim America PAC and was reported in the disclosure report it filed Tuesday,
according to Politico. The money was given to six campaign consultants and consulting firms.
Putting together his PACs and Senate office, Rubio has a bevy of experienced staffers and consultants to help him with his political future.
Among the consultants are former Senate staffers Rob Noel and Robert Daniels, PAC director Terry Sullivan, media production firm Something Else Strategies, former Mitt Romney consultant Alberto Martinez, and the fundraising consulting firm Miller Spence Group.
Rubio also is employing Targeted Victory, Mitt Romney’s former digital strategy firm. And Sarah Palin’s photographer Shealah Craighead said in a tweet that she’s working for Rubio too.
The Reclaim America PAC spent nearly $220,000 last month, while attracting more than $290,000 in its best fundraising month so far. Of the outlays, $19,000 was allocated to the polling and research firm North Star Opinion Research.
