Newly hired White House press spokesman Anthony Scaramucci "will be a phenomenal spokesman" for President Donald Trump and will push back against the negative narrative about the president, while uncovering those responsible for a series of damaging leaks, Republican National Committee Chairman Ronna McDaniel said Monday.
"Obviously, the president is putting his faith in him," McDaniel told Fox News' "America's Newsroom" program. "I think Anthony is right to go after the leaks. There are too many leaks coming out of this administration, not from the top team, but the bureaucrats. It is not good for our government. They need to stop."
McDaniel continued that she believes Scaramucci will be successful in the White House, as he is an investment fund founder with a great deal of success and knows how to run an organization, and she is looking forward to working with him.
"He knows how to run an organization," she said. "He knows how to be nimble."
She said she also believes Scaramucci will be able to communicate Trump's agenda, so that Americans can hear the "good things that are happening with the administration."
"Almost 1.4 million people are working and we are not talking about it, because everybody is talking about Russia," McDaniel said. "That is exactly what Russia wants."
