Many pundits say
Mitt Romney will pay a political price in his presumed bid for the Republican presidential nomination, thanks to the healthcare reform he implemented as governor of Massachusetts. The problem is the law resembles Obamacare, they say. But many Republicans feel differently,
The Hill reports.

“One of the reasons I endorsed Romney [in 2008] is his attempts to make private health insurance available at affordable prices,” said powerful conservative Sen. Jim DeMint, S.C.
He says it’s Democrats in the Massachusetts State Legislature who created the worst elements of the law.
“It just depends on how he plays it,” DeMint said. “For me, I think he started with some good ideas that were essentially hijacked by the Democrat legislature.”
