The Republican National Committee is ready to deploy more staffers on the ground in key races than it has at this stage in any election year, NBC News is reporting.

The RNC's field program will be adding 170 permanent staffers by the end of this month —bringing the total number to over 300. Another 200 more staffers will be brought on before the summer, the network news said.

"Our record-breaking fundraising has fueled our ability to continue our permanent, data-driven field program in 25 states, including every battleground state," RNC Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel told NBC News.

The RNC has raised over $144 million since the start of 2017.

"This is the largest field program in our party's history," she added. "Our infrastructure, combined with on-the-ground enthusiasm for President (Donald) Trump and Republican policies puts us in prime position to defend our majorities in 2018."

The RNC is planning to send staffers, including communications directors, field organizers and state directors, to the targeted states in advance of the midterm elections, NBC News reported.

Meanwhile, the Democratic National Committee is vowing to contact 50 million voters before the elections in November.
