Republican TV Commercials Target Young Iowa Voters

Monday, 25 April 2011 01:42 PM EDT

Television commercials broadcast in Iowa will target college-age voters with a message about the nation’s soaring interest on its federal debt.

The ads, which the College Republican National Committee is sponsoring, will start next week and also make light of President Barack Obama’s slogan, “Winning the Future,” reports EasternIowaGovernment.com.

The campaign is upbeat and positive, and “serves as a motivational call,” said a representative of the group. “In addition, it also is loaded with pop culture references and a synthesized soundtrack.”
