President Donald Trump signed four bills Monday that roll back regulations implemented by former President Barack Obama, USA Today reported.

Trump scaled back federal control on lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management, stopped government contractors from having to report labor law violations, voided rules that looked to set federal standards for teacher training, and rolled back a set of rules outlining how states must carry out the "Every Student Succeeds Act."

"Only one time in our history did a president sign a bill to cancel federal regulations," Trump told a group of governors and federal lawmakers at the White House after he signed the bill.

Trump and the Republican-led Congress have used a special rule to do away with Obama's rules. The rarely used Congressional Review Act allows the House to pass resolutions disapproving of the regulations.

So far, the House has passed 14 resolutions. The Senate has approved 10, and Trump has signed three measures into law. The CRA allows Congress to invalidate regulations through an expedited legislative process within a 60-day process.
