House Speaker John Boehner once again has earned the distinction of being the most disliked congressional leader, according to a new
Rasmussen Reports survey.
Only 28 percent of likely voters said they held a favorable opinion of Boehner, and only 4 percent had a "very favorable" opinion. Conversely, 60 percent view him "unfavorably" with 32 percent having a "very unfavorable" view.
In the same survey, 35 percent had a favorable opinion of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, while 56 percent viewed her unfavorably.
Boehner's results matched results of a Rasmussen survey conducted
in May, when 60 percent viewed the speaker unfavorably.
Members of the Senate leadership did not fare much better.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was viewed unfavorably by 54 percent of respondents while the figure was 49 percent for Senate Minority Leader Mitchell McConnell.
The survey of 1,000 likely was conducted Aug. 24 and 25. It had a margin of error of 3 percentage points.
