President Donald Trump's job approval rating rose to 50 percent Thursday, a daily tracking poll showed.
The Rasmussen Reports daily presidential tracking survey found 50 percent of likely voters approve of Trump's job performance, while 49 percent disapprove.
The figure includes 37 percent who strongly approve and 40 percent who strongly disapprove, giving Trump an approval index rating of minus-3, the pollster reported.
The last time Trump hit the 50 percent mark in the daily tracking poll was Aug. 14, when 35 percent strongly approved of his job performance and 40 percent strongly disapproved, for an approval index of minus-5. His highest-ever approval was 59 percent Jan. 26, 2017, the tracking showed.
A Real Clear Politics averaging of polls, including the Rasmussen finding, shows 43.5 percent approve of the job the president is doing, while 53.1 percent disapprove.
