One in three voters give President Donald Trump an F grade for his job performance, a McClatchy-Marist Poll reveals.

Here are the highlights from the survey:

  • 15 percent of voters polled give him an A; 22 percent a B; 15 percent a C; 15 percent a D and 32 percent an F.
  • 38 percent approve of the way he is handling the presidency, while 51 percent disapprove.
  • 59 percent say Trump's conduct as president "embarrassed" them, while 31 percent said it made them "proud."
  • 70 percent find Trump's regular use of Twitter "reckless and distracting," compared to 19 percent who said it is "effective and informative."

"There's no honeymoon," said Lee Miringoff, director of the Marist College Institute for Public Opinion in New York, which conducted the survey. "(Trump is) spending political capital that he didn't acquire on Election Day. And he hasn't done anything to cultivate it."

This is how the rest of the poll breaks down:

  • 27 percent approve of the job Republicans are doing in Congress, while 62 percent disapprove.
  • 35 percent approve of the job Democrats are doing in Congress, compared to 54 percent who disapprove.
