According to a new Trafalgar/Convention of States poll, 64% of likely American voters believe that President Joe Biden is compromised or conflicted in decisions involving China due to his family's business dealings with Chinese companies.

Among those surveyed, 52.3% said it is very likely that Biden is compromised, while 36.4% said it is unlikely.

More than one-third of Democrats polled believe the president is compromised, as well as 85.8% of Republicans and 72% of independents.

"The American people — as we see in these numbers — see through the smoke and mirrors," Mark Meckler, president of Convention of States Action, said. "They're watching as the Biden administration's policies benefit China more than our own country and conclude that the president is serving the interests of the Chinese Communist Party and must be compromised."

"The only question is, Do our leaders in Washington have the courage to fully investigate this issue and let the chips fall where they may?" he added.

Biden has taken a beating in the polls in recent months, with his approval numbers hovering in the mid to low 40s, and voters are widely predicted to deliver a thrashing to the Democrats in November's congressional midterm elections.

Record-breaking inflation and skyrocketing gas prices top the list of voters' concerns and are expected to increase turnout on Election Day.

Another headache for the Biden administration is the intensifying investigation into first son Hunter Biden's laptop contents and the Biden family's foreign business dealings.

According to a report on Tuesday, the president told former President Barack Obama that he intends to seek reelection in 2024.

The Trafalgar/COS poll was conducted April 5-8 and surveyed 1,079 likely U.S. voters, with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.99%.
