President Donald Trump's former campaign chairman has spent more than $1.3 million on clothing in the last six years, according to the indictment brought against him on Monday.

Manafort allegedly held over $18 million in overseas accounts, much of it made lobbying for Ukraine, and hid it from American authorities. Special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into the Trump campaign and reports of Russian election interference led to Manafort being indicted on 12 counts, including money laundering, acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign government, and failing to disclose overseas bank accounts.

According to the indictment, Manafort spent most of the money on property, owning a condominium in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood, a brownstone in Brooklyn, and a house in Arlington, Virginia. He also spent $1.3 million on custom-made suits: $849,215 to a "Men's Clothing Store in New York," and $520,440 to a "Clothing Store in Beverly Hills, California."

Manafort gave $5.4 million to a home improvement company in the Hamptons, $1.3 million to a home lighting company in Florida, and $1 million to an antique rug store in Virginia.

When the FBI conducted a raid on his Arlington home last July, "they even photographed the expensive suits in his closet," The New York Times reported in September.
